Work Concept:
I was raised in the city of Dhaka, and growing up in the capital I realized how fast a city can grow. And yet I can feel how underdeveloped this city is. With its uncontrolled population, poor urban design, lack of management and so on, I keep seeing many changes every day. The last 20 years had seen a huge amount of natural destruction die to the unlimited and daily growing demands of its citizens. The city became both chaotic and stressful. Unable to live any longer, I moved to the suburbs where the air is still fresh and the trees are still green. This shift brought a radical change in my artwork and I realize it’s because of the environment and my new locality. The greenery here is still emerging and adjusting with the urbanization. I found how trees are shaped up in a certain constructive way according to the surrounding structures. And this is what I am presently trying to expose through my works of art.
