Neloy Hossain
Bangladesh
Born in 1977, Neloy Hossain has received his Honors and Master’s degree from the Faculty of Fine Art of the University of Dhaka. He is well known as an artist, curator, photographer, art critique and a successful educator.
Living in Dhaka, Neloy Hossain has worked for the University of Liberal Arts Bangladeshas a faculty member, as an educator with renowned schools and as a journalist for the English newspapers of Bangladesh. His artwork has been widely exhibited both internationally and in Bangladesh since 1995 and he has participated in numerous residency programs. The Government of Tripura, along with numerous other private collectors, has collected his artworks. He has written features and critiques on art works and exhibitions in numerous newspapers and magazines and conducted several workshops for renowned organizations such as Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. He is a co-founder of Chhobir Haat, an open-air art space in Dhaka. He has several publications as an artist and photographer in different journals along with publications by Asiatic Society of Bangladesh.
