Sociopolitical system played important role in Moon works. Sometimes gender issue is one of the important subjects for her works. Moon’s journey into performance, site-specific art and installation art as well as thought provoking art is quite extensive.

Farah Naz Moon was born in 1983 in Chittagong. She is currently a Dhaka-based freelance artist after receiving her M.F.A. degree from the Institute of Fine Arts of the University of Chittagong. She has participated in a number of exhibitions; mentionable of them are NIPAF (Nippon International Performance Art Festival) of Japan, Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh by Shilpakala Academy, and the Performance Art Festival in Ukraine.

Work title: Necklace

Duration: 30 minutes

Necklace is seen as a symbol for women. It is generally considered to be a symbol of beauty, but it can also be a symbol of our oppression, covering something that is often unseen and ignored.
