Janusz Plota

Born in 1957 in Poland, Janusz Plota studied at the National High Arts College in Gdansk and The Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice completing his Ph.D. He is the founder of Transitart Europe.From time to time the artist manifests his discoveries in galleries and museums creating new performance, objects, columns, installations and mega signs such as the 7 th Berliner Biennale (Art Wiki) Berlin Germany 2012, 12 th China Changchun International Sculpture Symposium China 2011, The 5th Thailand International Wax Sculpture Ubon Ratchathani 2010, Florence Biennale Italy 2009, Und’4 Karlsruhe Germany 2009, The Beijing International Art Biennale 2008 China.
The philosophy of transitart (TAE ) permitted the artist to realize a series of important curatorial projects such as Ecoart, Summer Art Symposium; Transitart Europe; Mirrors of Freedom I-II; Humus of Art-Art of Humus Janu; and Solidarity.

Creating is a process which encompasses knowledge and experience gained through long material and cognitive studies. The artist – the teacher has enough knowledge to be able to show the recipient – the student how a work of art is created. It is good when it is done by a lecturer that has a perspective vision of a highway of culture. I would like to present the process of creation based on my own experience. I am very much interested about the message of cultural independence of a given culture, continent, and about showing common culture-creating features. Such a comparison serves the purpose of showing the phenomenon of the same thought being born in different independent places.
My performance is a reference to the world of nature.
