Mahadi Masud, born in 1975, has received his BFA and MFA degrees from the Department of Ceramics of the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka.

He is a Dhaka-based artist who has had experiences as an animator for a 2D animation production and as a trainer on making masks with paper cuttings in the Kolkata Government College in India and at Desh TV (2010), a Bangladeshi TV channel.

He has participated in the 8th and 9th Crack International Art Camp in Kushtia and the 15th and 16th Biannual Asian Art Exhibition organized by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in 2012 and 2014 respectively. In 2015 he has also attended the VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM  Art camp in Bangalore, India in 2015 .

Work Concept:

Nowadays life is only an enactment of being between what you are getting and what you a not. None of us and nothing else is independent any longer. And we can only control our past and future through imprisoning them. But the only thing we cannot imprison is time.
