The artist Vincenzo Fiore Marrese focuses his research on the body. He was born in Florence, Italy, where he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. He is currently studying Philosophy and is attending workshops regarding the body’s movements. For artistic purposes, he studied in detail the structure of animal bones and the congenital human anomalies live, from anatomical and medical collections. He has technical skills in computer programming languages and he is approaching to sound engineering. He has a strong interest in megalithic art and he travelled around Europe to visit the greater archaeological sites like Giurdignano in the south of Italy, Carnac in Brittany and Newgrange in Ireland. His works have been presented in several spaces, conventional and unconventional, like former slaughterhouses, convents, mines, prisons and mental hospitals and in several countries like Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and England in the United Kingdom.
